Forage Box — Terms and Conditions
Version 2026-10-25
1. Workshop Bookings
When making a workshop booking, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of yourself and all attendees included in your booking, and that you have made the other attendees aware of these terms.
Workshop descriptions provide information about the activities, location and practical requirements of each workshop. Please read the relevant description carefully before booking.
2. Customer Cancellations and Refunds
Bookings are non-refundable if you cancel within 30 days of the scheduled workshop date.
3. Booking Transfers
You may request to transfer your booking to any available Forage Box workshop, provided the request is made at least 72 hours before the start of your originally booked workshop.
All transfers are entirely at the discretion of Forage Box and are subject to availability and approval. There is no guarantee that a transfer request will be accepted.
4. Giving or Selling Your Place
If you can no longer attend, you’re welcome to give or sell your place to someone else.
We’d appreciate it if you could let us know about the change and, where possible, provide the new attendee’s details so we can keep our records up to date. Please also make sure they’re aware of any relevant information about the workshop, including the safety guidance.
5. Cancellation by Forage Box
Forage Box reserves the right to cancel a workshop when reasonably necessary, including because of adverse weather, safety concerns, tutor illness, problems with the venue or ground conditions, or insufficient attendance.
If Forage Box cancels a workshop, affected attendees will be notified and offered the available options according to their original payment method:
- Card: Transfer to another available workshop or full refund to the original payment method.
- Voucher: Voucher reactivated.
- Mixed card/voucher: The card-paid portion refunded and the voucher portion reactivated, or the full booking value provided as voucher credit.
Forage Box will explain the available options when notifying attendees of a cancellation.
6. Minimum Attendance
Our workshops generally require a minimum of eight adult attendees to go ahead.
If this minimum is not reached, Forage Box reserves the right to cancel the workshop. We will notify affected attendees if a workshop is cancelled and explain the options available to them.
7. Changes to Workshop Arrangements
Forage Box reserves the right to make reasonable changes to workshop arrangements where necessary, including changes to the tutor, venue, meeting point or other practical details.
We will notify attendees of any significant changes.
8. Late Arrival and Non-Attendance
Attendees are responsible for arriving at the advertised meeting point on time.
Late arrivals may miss some or all of the workshop, and Forage Box cannot guarantee that late arrivals can be accommodated.
Failure to attend is non-refundable.
9. Workshop Safety and Conduct
All attendees must follow tutor safety instructions, especially when identifying, collecting, preparing and tasting wild foods.
Anyone eating wild food found during a workshop without the tutor’s specific permission will normally receive a warning. A further breach may result in the attendee being asked to leave without a refund.
Attendees must behave respectfully. Forage Box may remove anyone who is abusive, threatening, seriously disruptive, or compromises the safety or enjoyment of others. No refund will be provided in these circumstances.
10. Wild Food Safety and Dietary Requirements
Foraging and consuming wild foods carries inherent risks, including misidentification, adverse reactions and allergies. Attendees consume wild foods at their own risk.
Attendees must follow tutor safety instructions and must not eat wild food collected during a workshop without the tutor’s specific permission. Permission to taste does not guarantee suitability for every individual.
Food prepared or served by tutors will be prepared carefully, taking into account allergies, intolerances and dietary preferences notified to Forage Box in advance.
Attendees must inform Forage Box of relevant allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements before the workshop. We will take reasonable care but cannot guarantee that every requirement can be accommodated or that food will be entirely free from allergens.
Forage Box accepts no responsibility for wild foods attendees choose to collect or consume independently outside the workshop. Attendees should apply the tutor’s identification and safety guidance and never consume wild foods unless confident of their identification and suitability.
11. Clothing, Footwear and Personal Belongings
Workshops take place outdoors and may involve uneven, muddy or slippery ground and changeable weather.
Attendees are responsible for wearing suitable clothing and footwear.
Attendees are responsible for their personal belongings. Forage Box accepts no responsibility for lost or damaged personal belongings.
12. Children and Young People
Children may attend only when accompanied by a responsible adult. The adult remains responsible for the child and must ensure they follow the tutor’s instructions, especially those relating to safety.
13. Accessibility and Participation
Workshops vary in their physical demands and may involve uneven ground, standing for periods and exposure to outdoor weather.
Please read the workshop description carefully. If you have accessibility needs or safety concerns, contact Forage Box before booking to discuss the workshop and possible adjustments.
14. Medical Conditions and Emergencies
Attendees should inform Forage Box before the workshop of any medical conditions or circumstances that may affect safe participation.
Attendees are responsible for bringing and managing any medication they need, including emergency medication such as adrenaline auto-injectors.
In an emergency, tutors will take appropriate steps to seek assistance.
15. Photography
Photographs may be taken during workshops for promotional purposes. Attendees who do not wish to appear in photographs should inform the photographer.
16. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are redeemable against any products or workshops sold by Forage Box, subject to the terms applicable to the relevant product or workshop.
Vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Any remaining balance can be used for future purchases.
Vouchers are valid until the end of the year of purchase, unless purchased later in the year, in which case they are valid until the end of the following year.
17. Online Courses
Access to online courses is provided for the period specified on the relevant course sales page at the time of purchase. Customers are responsible for checking the access period before purchasing.
18. Physical Products and Returns
Returns, refunds and cancellations for physical products are handled in accordance with the published Returns Policy and applicable statutory consumer rights.
Customers should review the Returns Policy before purchasing.
19. Intellectual Property and Course Materials
All books, course materials, videos, downloads and educational content are protected by applicable intellectual property rights.
Purchased materials are for personal use and learning. They must not be copied, reproduced, distributed, shared, published or resold without prior permission.
20. Privacy and Personal Information
Forage Box handles personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which explains how information is collected, used and protected.
21. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
